Signature Rug Edging Guide
Your choice of edging depends on your personal style preferences and overall look you’re trying to achieve for your rug. All of our edge bindings will protect your carpet from fraying and help keep it in shape.
Overlocking
This is the most popular edging and a classic option. The expertly matched yarn will compliment your carpet and blend seamlessly. The stitched edge will be approximately 10mm wide around the edge of your rug and you can choose this to be gently rounded at the corners or have a standard 90 degree corner.
Binding
This gives a discreet edge in a complimentary binding that looks minimalist. Measuring approximately only 5mm, this binding is also available with a standard corner or can be gently rounded. This style of binding will be mostly hidden on carpets with a high and fluffy carpet pile, and slightly hidden by lower carpet piles. See our images for a good example of the different looks
